Series

2014-2015

With these works, titled "Sticks and Stones" and "Pathways," I ask the viewer to ponder the meaning of sticks and stones and pathways.

On the one hand, sticks and stones can hurt you; but, these stones have been made smooth, rounded by the vestiges of time, wind, and water.

Each surface is velvety and textured, and luscious in color.

On the other hand pathways, offers the viewer the option of traversing through a terrain that has one pathway maybe venturing off into the distance or forking into different directions.  The surface again is textured with smooth stones and leafless trees resplendent with color and texture.
