  •

  • My work harkens to the Abstract Expressionist. It is important to me that the color recalls that of the Impressionists remaining beautiful and luscious on the surface in some areas of the work and acidic and acrid in others.  Utilizing the essence of Gestalt theory I want the viewer’s eyes to begin to seek what is known so that a close up of a tree root may become a fish or, is it, a bird and spirals become stepping stones while tree branches reach out to grab you.

  •

  • I long to walk into my own environment and rest in the saturated color of the lines, shapes, and planes.  I invite you to do the same.
